Well, we've been back from our trip to Ohio for a week now and it feels like we never left! Chaz has been working a lot getting ready for the upcoming training and deployment. It hasn't been hard keeping busy here at home either. Andrew and Ava both had doctor's appointments this week and they are doing great! The doctor highly recommended getting rid of Andrew's pacifier (something we've been wanting to do for a long time now, it just never seems like the right time... new sister, dad deploying, etc). He also needs to gain some weight - he's only in the tenth percentile for weight. Ava is now 10 weeks old and she is just precious! She has been responding well to the reflux medicine and especially well to the rice cereal I'm adding to her bottles. It's been a lot more work for me having to pump her bottles during the day, but seeing how it's working is so worth it! Ava is having no problems in the weight department. She is 11 lbs, 12 oz's (77th percentile) and she's 34 3/4" long (95th percentile). Here are a couple pictures I've taken since we've been home this week.
Andrew coloring after breakfast... on his face! All I can say is thank goodness for washable crayons and the magic eraser after this week!
Our blue-eyed girl! It's still too early to tell if her eyes will change, but Andrew's eyes were never this light shade of blue. Chaz, Andrew and I have brown eyes, but Ava's Nana, Grandpa Charlie, Aunt Ashlie and Uncle Joey (just to mention a few immediate family members!) have blue eyes! We're hoping they stay blue!
Andrew LOVES his sister! He loves to give her kisses and to be where she is... here they are under the little activity center
Notice he is holding her hand
Ava loves the swing and takes one nap a day in it!
