This was a glorious and stressful day!! Unfortunately, our closing got messed up and we weren't able to close on the day that we had planned, due to circumstances out of our control. It was a holiday weekend and therefore we would not be able to close until the following Monday. Our builder was kind enough to let us 'lease' the house from them until we closed, which meant the movers could still deliver our things. While Chaz was at the house waiting for the movers, the dogs were still at the hotel room, and the kids and I were headed for the airport to pick up my sister. All I can say is thank God for family!! My sister spent her vacation days helping us to unpack, taking care of the kids, and unloading boxes from our storage unit. It definitely was a working holiday for her! We really enjoyed her company and had a lot of fun...eating at different restaurants, shopping for the house, and playing wii, among other things.

Helping Auntie put groceries away in our pantry. We took advantage of the military base and shopped at the commissary in San Antonio before we made our way back to College Station.

Here I am cleaning up the jar of Ragu that Andrew dropped on the floor while he was helping to put the groceries away in the pantry. We weren't even in the house an hour when this happened. That's one way to break it in!!

Onto projects that we can't break... Andrew and Auntie putting together the playroom.
Until we have a house with a basement or game room, the dining room will serve as the playroom!

Taking a break from working. Andrew and Auntie played in the pool outside. In these 100 degree temperatures, this is about the only thing you can do outside! You don't see anybody outside until 7-8pm and we quickly learned why! As much as we would love to have a swimming pool, we've decided not to get anything besides a kiddie blow-up pool until the kids are older. There are lots of city pools, admission is cheap and the one we've already gone to was perfect for us!

As easy going and smiley as Ava is, she definitely has a temper! She was playing in the water table outside and she wasn't happy that we brought her in the house. This child loves a schedule and this was our sign that it was past naptime!

Happy Ava!

Here's the proof... Andrew practicing a wrestling move on Ava. She's going to be one tough cookie because she's already fighting back!

Everyone wants to be by Auntie!

While the move was hard for everyone, it may have been the hardest on Sierra! Ashlie was really upset when she found Sierra lying here in the bathroom!
