We took my mom with us on a road trip to San Antonio for a night. First thing on our to-do list was to take the kids to Sea World. We had some rain and much cooler weather thanks to the hurricane, but it didn't hold us back from accomplishing all the things we set out to see and do while in San Antonio!
I'm not a fan of touching gross things (like dead fish) but its funny what you'll do for your kids. The kids weren't big on touching the dead fish, so I was the one who fed the dolphins!! Andrew might have fed the dolphins one or two fish.
The kids were very interested in Shamu and his show... only from a distance! So for those of you wondering, no, we did not sit in the splash zone!!
While Mommy, Daddy and Nannie took turns riding the shamu roller coaster with Andrew, Ava got to play this game! It was $1/ball or $5 for as many throws/balls as it took to win. I'm so glad we paid the $5 because it took us at least 20 throws to get a ball in the cup!! Ava loved playing the game and forgot how upset she was that she couldn't go on the shamu roller coaster like her big brother!

After Sea World we checked into our hotel, changed clothes and headed to the Riverwalk for dinner and sightseeing.

We couldn't leave San Antonio without seeing our good friends Pam and Ryan. They had just welcomed their beautiful new daughter, Hope Davis into the world the day before. As if that weren't enough, our good friend Jennie was in town from NC visiting!! We had a great visit - although it was short. I miss these girls!!
