Ava turned 3 weeks old on Friday and we made it through the first week on our own without any family helping out! It was challenging at times and to top it off Chaz had 24-hour duty one of the days. I was very happy that Ashlie and Aaron came into town on Friday - we've been having a lot of fun with them here and Ashlie has been a huge help. Chaz drove to Asheville, NC on Friday to trade in his Jimmy and purchase our new family car. He was a little sad to see the Jimmy go, but believe it or not, he's even more excited to have the Honda now! We outgrew the Jeep Liberty when we had Ava and added another carseat to the already cramped backseat. Anyone who has driven in our car will understand why we are so excited about getting a mini-van! Enjoy our pictures from the past couple days and check back soon because Ava's getting her first real bath today!

Ava likes to be swaddled... here she is on the pack-n-play bassinet... her favorite napping place besides our arms, of course!

I caught Ava smiling in her sleep... again she's in her favorite napping place!
Andrew, Ava and I went up to the base to spend some time with Chaz while he was on duty... it was also my first time grocery shopping with two children (thank goodness Chaz was able to meet me at the commissary for this first trip!)

Saying goodbye to the Jimmy - Chaz asked me to bring the camera so that we could take a couple pictures before he got rid of it!
We traded the Jimmy in for a 2007 Honda Odyssey

Ava slept and Andrew fussed and cried the whole time we were at the beach. For some reason Andrew is now scared of the water and would not walk in the sand?!
Someone is awake and ready to eat....
and someone is ready for bed now that we are home from the beach!
It brings a tear to my eye to see the Jimmy gone!! I hope it was a package deal and the jet ski was disposed of at the same time!! Now Chaz can drive the mini van down the street with both dogs on his lap with his deer hoof hand hanging onto the roof!!
