We've been back in Texas for almost a week now. While Chaz is still in NC, my dad came out to stay with us. We had an early flight out of Cleveland and Ava was exhausted! The actor and comedian, Rob Schneider, was on our first flight (we had a layover in Cincinnati)! He sat right by my dad (back to back) at the Cleveland airport and his girlfriend (?) commented on how cute the kids were! I didn't ask for a picture or say anything to him... surprising, I know! That would have been a great blog picture!
Back in Texas ... the kids were super tired! We had a small adjustment where Ava was waking us all up at 6AM! I guess that one hour time change really did mess with her little system!
We have been having HOT weather and the first couple days we were home, we got lots of rain. My dad took the kids on a walk to splash in the puddles!
As usual, my dad has helped Chaz knock some things off our to-do list. A big 'to-do' was cutting down 6 dead trees in our yard. My dad hired someone to do the big trees and he enlisted Andrew's help in cutting down some of the small trees/branches.
Ava helped, too!
I also cut the grass for the first time... in my life! It is hard work and we don't have a big yard! Needless to say I have a new appreciation for my husband and all the time he's spent taking care of our lawn! So after our hard work we ran through the sprinkler and then played on the slip and slide. Here Andrew got a little push from Papa!
We were all so sweaty and wet that we decided a 'picnic' dinner outside sounded like a good idea! The kids LOVED this!
